Women's Portrait Photographer in Houston

Your portrait is more than a photograph

It’s a moment where you see yourself clearly confident, feminine, and real.

A personal photoshoot is about feeling comfortable in your own presence, about softness, strength, and individuality coming together.

These portraits are not only about how you look, but about how you feel in front of the camera calm, confident, and connected to yourself.

I guide when it’s helpful and step back when moments unfold naturally, creating space for portraits that feel balanced, and personal.

Locations and light

I photograph women throughout the Greater Houston area, working both in studios and outside.

Sessions can take place in parks, city streets, or at home, depending on the atmosphere we want to create.

I primarily work with natural light, allowing portraits to feel clean, soft, and natural.

Whether indoors or outdoors, the focus remains on confident, well balanced images that feel comfortable and thoughtfully composed.

I love love love Svetlana (Lana). She is absolutely incredible, and she is my go-to photographer. I’ve worked with her twice now, and both times were wonderful. She helped me choose my outfits (she’s much more stylish than I am), helped plan concepts for the photoshoots, made my family feel comfortable during the shoots, and delivered high quality photos…

Sveta doesn’t just take photos - she creates art. She captures love, joy, tenderness, pain, vulnerability, and light (there will be always light after anything) - all with the same quiet mastery. I’ve had five photoshoots with her so far, and every single one felt like a unique interpretation of my inner world in that moment. Nothing about her work is templated. Each photo is a reflection of emotion - raw, real, and deeply personal. With Sveta, it’s never about poses. It’s about presence. Of course she guides through poses. But they are so live. This feeling - I am seen. If you want truth, your beauty, your heavy moment or the happiest one, your story to be captured - you’ve found your photographer…

Sveta has a special talent not to just make beautiful photos but feel the people she is taking picture of. I had a pleasure to work with Sveta 4 times in the past 2 years and each time the result came out excellent. If you want esthetic photos please invest in Svetas services. I've never regretted that I trusted her to do my maternity and family shoots. And I'll do again…

A Reliable Approach

I believe that beautiful photography begins with trust and peace of mind.

That’s why I work with a simple, secure online contract that you can view and sign right from your phone - quick, clear, and effortless. During each session, my cameras record every image to dual memory systems, protecting your photos in case of possible technical issues. Afterward, I store all files on multiple physical and cloud backups, keeping them safe for you. Your memories are important - and I treat them with the same care as I do my work itself.

FAQs

What’s the best time of day for a session?

For outdoor portrait photos - whether in a park, by the water, or in the city - the most beautiful light happens early in the morning or about 1.5 hours before sunset.
Morning light feels soft and peaceful, while evening brings that warm golden glow that adds romance and depth.
Both create the perfect atmosphere for natural, relaxed, and beautifully lit photos.
What if the weather changes on the day of our session?

Houston weather can change quickly.
If the conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule to a new date and time that works for both of us.
How does the booking process work?

After we decide on the date, time, and location, I’ll send you an online contract by email.
You can sign it and pay the deposit in just a few clicks.
Once that’s done, your session is booked and the date is all yours.
Is the studio rental included in the session price?

Studio rental is not included in the session price.
If you’d like a studio photoshoot, I’ll help you find a suitable space available for your date, and you’ll book and pay for it directly.
Studio rental rates in Houston are typically around $85 per hour.
Do you charge a travel fee?

I’m based in the Upper Kirby area of Houston.
There’s no travel fee for sessions within 20 miles of my location.
For distances between 20-40 miles, the fee is $50, and for 40-60 miles, it’s $100.
Sessions in The Woodlands and Conroe have a $100 travel fee.
Sessions held on the Gulf Coast - including Galveston, Surfside Beach, and East Beach - have a $100 travel fee.
When will our photos be ready?

Your finished photos will be ready within 10 business days, not including the day of the session.
How will we receive our photos?

Your photos will be delivered through a private online gallery, where you can view and download them in high quality.
You’ll also be able to share the link with family and friends so they can download the images too.
Can we get additional photos?

Your session includes a set of fully edited images, carefully selected and retouched.
If you’d like more, you can add additional edited photos for $20 each.
Do you provide unedited photos?

I don’t deliver unedited (RAW) images.
Each photograph you receive is carefully selected and edited to reflect the color, light, and emotion that define my style.
This ensures your gallery looks consistent, polished, and ready to be enjoyed or printed without any extra work on your side.
How is the session price formed?

My pricing reflects the experience, professionalism, and reliability that go into every stage of your session - from preparation to delivery.
Each project includes planning, communication, travel, shooting, and detailed editing. I also work with a small team - including a retoucher and coordinator - to make the process smooth and organized.
All images are securely stored and backed up on multiple drives to ensure nothing is ever lost.
In total, a typical 1-2 hour session often requires 10-15 hours of work from start to finish.
