FAQ : Everything You Need to Know Before Your Photoshoot in Houston
What’s the best time of day for a photoshoot?
For outdoor sessions the most flattering light appears early in the morning or about 1.5 hours before sunset. Morning light feels calm and fresh, while evening light brings a warm golden tone that adds depth and emotion. Both times create a relaxed atmosphere and help capture natural, beautifully lit photographs.
What if the weather changes on the day of our session?
Weather can be unpredictable - especially in Houston!
If the conditions aren’t suitable for a photoshoot, we’ll simply reschedule to a new date and time that works for both of us.
The session can be moved once, including in case of unforeseen circumstances.
How does the booking process work?
Once we agree on the date, time, and location, you’ll receive an online contract by email.
You can review and sign it - and pay the deposit - in just a few clicks.
After that, your session is officially confirmed, and the date is reserved just for you.
Is the studio rental included in the session price?
Studio rental is not included in the session price.
If you’d like a studio photoshoot, I’ll help you find a suitable space available for your date, and you’ll book and pay for it directly.
Studio rental rates in Houston are typically around $85 per hour.
Are taxes included
in the session price?
The prices for my photography services don’t include sales tax.
In Texas, a tax rate of 8.25% applies to all professional photography services.
The final total, including tax, will be displayed in your invoice so you’ll know the exact amount before making the payment.
Do you charge
a travel fee?
I’m based in the Upper Kirby area of Houston.
There’s no travel fee for sessions within 20 miles of my location.
For travel between 20-40 miles, the fee is $50, and for 40-60 miles, it’s $100.
Sessions on the Gulf Coast - including Galveston, Surfside Beach, and East Beach - have a $100 travel fee.
When and how will we receive our photos?
Your final photos will be ready within 10 business days, not including the day of the session.
You’ll receive them through a private online gallery to view, download, and share in high quality.
The gallery stays active for 6 months, giving you time to download your photos.
Can we get
additional photos?
Your session includes a set of fully edited images, carefully selected and retouched based on the photographer’s professional vision.
If you’d like to receive more, each additional edited photo is available for $20.
Do you provide
unedited photos?
I don’t deliver unedited (RAW) images.
Each photo is carefully selected and edited to reflect the color, light, and emotion that define my style.
This way, your gallery feels consistent, polished, and ready to enjoy or print right away.
Do you offer
gift certificates?
Yes, I do!
Gift certificates are available for any type of photography session - a wonderful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions.
Each one is personalized and beautifully designed, offering the experience of a professional photoshoot in Houston.
